Where it began

I have been surrounded by art my entire life. I realized early on that I loved experiencing what I see around me and wanted to have the power to create. My parents noticed this too and signed me up for art classes, I was just a toddler.

In elementary school I would always look forward to my creative classes. This carried on into highschool where I signed up for many graphic design classes, engineering classes, and web design classes as my electives.

Unfortunately, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for the rest of my life as a career, so I pursued engineering. Within a month I realized I made a huge mistake. I was still afraid of pursing art for fear of my future (what was I thinking). I switched schools and my major to graphic design.

At my community college where I graduated with my Associates in graphic design with a concentration in web design, I realized I should be doing what I have loved my entire life, being creative, and letting my artistic abilities flourish.

So here I am today. In one short year I will have my Bachelors in graphic design with a concentration in web design. The journey has just begun.

Where I'm Headed

As a graphic designer it is vital to stay up-to-date. Technology has and will keep becoming a dominating force in the job market. For that reason my direction is to continue to grow with technology and focus on web design, UX, programming, ect.. I am excited to truly begin my adult life and step into the professional spotlight.
